Located on the medieval side of the town of Cisternino, founded in the year 1200 and characterized by its "spontaneous architecture": narrow winding streets, archways and balconies draped with flowers, alleyways and courtyards, spiral staircases, all part of the typical Mediterranean hilltop town, thick stone walls painted a blinding white in contrast to the warmth of the natural stone paving and bright cerulean of the sky. |

| Barrio Antico House is a very old building, higher than the surrounding ones, with extra comfort provided by various modern fixtures and fittings: heating system, CD player and radio, washing machine, dishwasher, and air conditioning on the top floor. Its location is fabulous, and the owner’s attention to detail has made this a prime target for holidaymakers. |

The house is built on two floors, the first at the top of a stone staircase, with a spacious bright fully-equipped kitchen, with a single sofa-bed, ideal for a child; a double bedroom with a large wardrobe, and a bathroom with bath. |

| Outside, there is a terrace with table and sunshade, from where you can enjoy the view across the roofs to the countryside sloping down to the sea. | |||

Up another outer staircase, the top floor has an attic bedroom with air conditioning, a sink, a cooker for making coffee, a shower room and a single bed. | ||
