Living in a trullo is a unique experience - little rooms
with a domed ceiling; conical roofs built out of blocks of white
calcareous stone, crowned by curious pinnacles of all different
shapes; metre-thick walls, either white or in warm colours, which
keep the inside cool during the heat of summer, but warm in winter;
recesses in the walls used for shelving and cupboard space; set
in pleasant age-old welcoming countryside, with an assortment of
seasonal fragrances. |

Primosole is a delightful trullo complex on a hill in the
wonderful Itria Valley, 8 km from the whitewashed city of Ostuni,
and almost as close to Martina Franca and Cisternino, the three
towns which form the so-called "Baroque triangle".
15 km from the sea, and the breathtaking beach in the Torre Guaceto
nature park, which was once a lookout tower against Saracen invaders
and is now a marine park hosting many species of waterbird.

The houses which make up Casa Allegro, a country house
with a totally refurbished trullo, are set in a verdant
landscape dominated by olives and Mediterranean maquis.

Fabia's trullo is made of a group of of trulli: a lamia,
(house with a typical rustic low vaulted ceiling ) and three
cones left in the original structural stone. They evoke the
ancient memories and the primitive strength of the place. The
whole trulli, cosy and fully restored, are located on one
of the hills boardering the famous Valle d'Itria,
betwee the characterustic Cisternino and the enchanting
white city of Ostuni. |
