<Let me be even more devious then! Come to Conversano<\/strong> near Bari, where they\u2019re putting on Novello Beneath The Castle<\/strong>, a gourmet harvest festival of chestnuts<\/strong> and wine<\/strong>>.<\/p>\n

<Oh, so we\u2019re going to be doing some drinking are we?><\/p>\n

<You bet we are, as much as you can handle!><\/p>\n

<I like the sound of that! What else is happening?><\/p>\n

<In Locorotondo<\/strong> there\u2019ll be La Notte dei Giganti <\/strong>[the Night of the Giants], a Stilt Festival<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In Ostuni<\/strong>, again in November, there\u2019s the Street Art Festival<\/strong>>.<\/p>\n

<Wow. You never cease to amaze me. So what exactly goes on?>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

<There are some great events, with Street Bands, Mime, Freestyle, Juggling, Local arts and crafts<\/strong> and Apulian food and wine<\/strong>, served at stalls<\/strong> and at open-air restaurants<\/strong>. You can eat orecchiette <\/em>with turnip tops<\/strong>, fresh pasta<\/strong>, pulses<\/strong>, sandwiches filled with sun-dried tomatoes<\/strong> would you believe it – the ones you tried this summer, remember?>.<\/p>\n

<I love \u2019em. And what about burrata<\/strong>?>.<\/p>\n

<Of course! And meat kebabs<\/strong>, parmigiana<\/strong>, all the finest foods from Puglia>.<\/p>\n

<And wine>.<\/p>\n

<Yes, loads of Vin nouveau<\/strong>. Don\u2019t tell me you\u2019re still thinking about that?>.<\/p>\n

<I\u2019m already online looking for a bargain flight!>.<\/p>\n

<That\u2019s what i like to hear. And it\u2019s more than just eating and drinking of course>.<\/p>\n

<Come on, bring him with you, there are so many playgroups and workshops for little ones<\/strong> and theatre shows<\/strong> just for them. There\u2019s something for everyone! Or else you could come in December, in Ceglie Messapica <\/strong>there\u2019s a Magical Christmas village<\/strong>. Music everywhere, Santa\u2019s sleigh<\/strong> and Christmas Markets<\/strong> overflowing with stalls, with local delicacies and much more.><\/p>\n
